Electrical Engineer Electrical Control systems

Taikisha USA Inc, a global leader in engineering and construction of industrial paint finishing systems, is seeking an experienced Project Electrical Engineer.

As a Project Electrical Engineer, you will provide leadership to teams of engineers, designers, and programmers on large-scale projects or contribute as a team member for other projects. At Taikisha USA, your role will involve collaborating within cross-functional teams to develop control systems for Paint finishing applications in the automotive, heavy trucking, and aerospace industries. Project sizes range from $10,000 to $25 million.

Responsibilities:

  • Design control panels according to customer specifications and NEC Codes.
  • Size and select all control components
  • Select and size enclosures
  • Heat load calculations.

Design PLC Networks

  • Peer to Peer
  • I/O

Develop PLC/HMI Software

  • Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Toyopuc.

Start up and commission on-site testing and validation

  • Power, I/O, Alarms/Faults
  • Auto/Manual
  • Debug software
  • Setup Equipment VFD, Controllers etc.

Prepare bid specifications for installation, panel assembly, and equipment procurement.

Develop technical documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals

Provide training to operators on system functionality, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.

Collaborate with customers to clarify project scopes and coordinate engineering approvals throughout the process.

Manage a team of engineers/Programmers/Designers during all phases of the project.

  • Develop project schedules
  • Develop project schedules.
  • Facilitate, schedule, and run meetings as required.
  • Be able to review and approve drawings as required.
  • Ensure the team meets all schedule objectives.
  • Review scope and create risk mitigation plans.

Qualifications and contributions:

  • Electrical engineering degree
  • Expertise in PLC & HMI programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable working with up to 480V electricity.
  • Willing to travel about 30% nationwide for onsite support.
  • Highly resourceful and self-motivated.
  • Skilled in interpreting and documenting schematics and design notes.
  • Preferred experience in programming and engineering Ovens, Air Supply Houses, Pretreatment, and E-Coat Systems.
  • Open to leading teams of engineers, programmers, or designers.
